About The Event
An epic weekend of riding in and around the stunning Elan Valley, an adventure playground in the heart of the Cambrian Mountains. There are so many trails around the valley that you could easily spend a long weekend and never ride the same trail twice.
The trails are a mixture of grassy and rocky bridleways, long climbs and fast flowing descents. there is of course the occasional river crossing! We tailor our weekend to suit the group, and a route plan is prepared to reflect the overall ability
We have tailored this weekend to suit both e-bike riders and those on the acoustic kind! Two seperate groups will ride out, giving riders an opportunity to explore and play on some of the Elan Valleys hidden and wild gems. Myslef and Polly will have to fight over our preffered bike for the weekend?!
We base our weekend in the heart of Rhayader at Glandwr House. Comfortable accommodation, with fine food cooked by our in house chef. Bring along a few drinks, or, sample an ale or two in one of the many public houses just a stone throw away.
After a long day out on the hill, spend the evening relaxing in the downstairs sauna and hot tub with a glass in your hand.
From here we ride straight out of the door toward the west and the Elan Valley. Steep sided valleys and reservoirs amongst a vast expanse of wilderness that's often referred to as the green desert of mid Wales. The trails are a mixture of grassy and rocky bridleways, long climbs and fast flowing descents. There is of course the occasional river crossing!
An epic weekend of riding in and around Elan Valley is something special, and this weekend will give you the most of what the area has to offer. Note, riders should be prepared to be out on the bike from approx 9am until 5pm, and have a good base fitness.
